IFS acquires warehouse management software Softeon to expand global AI supply chain
The news: Industrial AI software IFS has acquired Indian-based warehouse management software provider Softeon for an undisclosed amount.
The context: Operating as IFS Softeon, the acquisition is aimed at expanding IFS’ supply chain technology across manufacturing, logistics and retail sectors.
IFS said it already manages $2.4 trillion in critical assets globally and will combine the new acquisition with its IFS Cloud platform, alongside embedded Industrial AI capabilities and robotics orchestration expertise. IFS Softeon’s customers include Brooks, Casey’s, Denso, Sears Home Services, Sony and UPS.
What they said: "The introduction of IFS Softeon means every enterprise wrestling with the complexity of modern supply chains now has access to something genuinely new: end-to-end supply chain intelligence, from strategic decision-making to physical execution on the warehouse floor,” IFS CEO Mark Moffat said.
“Industrial AI meets limitless warehouse execution. That’s a combination that will supercharge what’s possible for our customers,” he added.
