The news: An integrated finance, services and lifestyle app for international students and skilled migrants has secured $1.6 million in seed funding.
Sydney-based Mist aims to become a go-to app to navigate moving abroad for studies, streamlining payments solutions, local accounts, SIM provisioning, health cover and student ID cards.
The context: Participants in the raise included Investible, Allectus Capital, Archangel Ventures, Seedspace and The Hunter Angels.
What they said: "This funding will enable us to launch our services through our partnerships with education agents, Institutions, and accommodation providers and cater to the dynamic needs of students worldwide," Mist co-founder and CEO John Crutchley said in a statement.
