The news: Generative AI company Leonardo Ai has launched its first dedicated enterprise offering, Leonardo for Teams, as it seeks to compete with Midjourney and OpenAI's Dall-E.

The numbers: Founded in 2022, the Sydney-based startup raised $47 million in December and has more than doubled its user base to 15 million in the last four months.

The company said over one billion artworks have been created on its platform since it launched, and more than six million assets are created every day.

The context: Leonardi Ai said its new feature will allow multiple creators to work side-by-side and streamline workflows, in what it describes as a "first for GenAI".

The company called the launch a "pivotal milestone" in the industry's use of generative AI as a resource for enterprise-grade visual asset production, taking AI from a single-use to an essential creative platform for companies.

Leonardo Ai intended to launch its enterprise product at the end of last year, cofounder JJ Faisson told Capital Brief in January. It's among several recent upgrades to its platform, which also include an ability to add motion to generated images.

This week the company pledged to ramp up efforts to tackle deepfake porn created on its platform after revelations that some of its users were bypassing restrictions on creating nonconsensual sexual content.
