The airline noted that there is "no indication of a cyber security incident" at this stage, and current investigations indicate that the tech issue may have been related to recent system changes.
Qantas said that no further personal or financial information was shared and customers would not have been able to transfer or use the Qantas Points of other frequent flyers.

Qantas said it recommends customers log out and log in to their Qantas Frequent Flyer account on the Qantas App, as it also warned customers to "be aware of social media scams at this time".
Shares in the airline were down 1.2% to $5.83 at 10:40am AEST, broadly in line with the wider market.
