Square Peg partner James Tynan leaves
The news: Square Peg has announced that partner James Tynan has left the business after five years with the venture capital firm.
The context: Square Peg announced Tynan’s departure in a letter to investors regarding the fund’s half year report.
Tynan joined Square Peg as a principal in May 2020 before being made partner in March 2023. He was previously the CEO of startup network and seed fund Startmate as well as Khan Academy’s vice president of strategy and operations.
What they said: “We want to thank James Tynan, who concluded his time with Square Peg at the end of 2025 after five years with the firm,” the letter to investors said.
“Since joining in 2020 and becoming a Partner approximately two and a half years ago, James has been an important contributor at Square Peg. We wish him every success in his next chapter.”
