Metrics Credit Partners is preparing a wave of new funds as the $30 billion manager looks to leverage its head start in private credit, even as it faces intense media scrutiny.
Speaking to investors in Sydney last week at an event hosted by Pinnacle Investment Management — a backer of Metrics — chief executive Andrew Lockhart said the country’s largest private credit manager was seeking to consolidate its advantage and broaden its scope.
“We're looking to launch a series of funds to provide investors with exposure to a broader range of private credit investment opportunities compared to what we currently have offered,” he said.
Lockhart pointed to asset-backed and residential mortgage-backed securities in private warehouses as examples.
