Wealthy voters have swung hardest away from Labor and the Coalition to back One Nation amid the fallout from the federal budget, according to a quarterly analysis of Capital Brief/DemosAU polling.
While the minor party’s traditional support base — older people in regional areas and those without higher education — swung strongly towards Pauline Hanson’s party over Christmas, other demographics are now catching up.
The data was produced using DemosAU’s multilevel regression and poststratification (MRP) model, which surveyed 9343 people between May and July 2026 and projected a result for every electorate in the country.
One Nation’s national primary vote was 30%, followed by Labor on 26% and the Coalition on 21%.
