For months, polls have suggested One Nation is on course to supplant a dysfunctional Coalition as Labor’s main challenger.
It’s not there yet and, given One Nation’s history of infighting, the Coalition hopes the dial will swing back come election time.
But the loss of Farrer, a seat that has never been out of their hands, will have sent a shiver down the spines of regional Coalition MPs on Saturday.
