Canva revenue climbs 50% in just over a year amid enterprise growth
Canva's annual recurring revenue is now US$3.3 billion, according to co-founder Cliff Obrecht, as its enterprise sales double year-on-year.
Canva co-founder Cliff Obrecht says the design giant’s annualised revenue now sits at USD3.3 billion ($5.1 billion), up 50% from the USD2.2 billion the company reported in May last year.
Obrecht shared the figure during a keynote at the Google Cloud Summit in Sydney on Wednesday, highlighting Canva’s rapid growth as it ploughs towards an eventual IPO.
"We have 240 million people designing on Canva each month," Obrecht said. "We have over 26 million paying customers. They're the ones we really like."
That line drew laughs from the crowd at the ICC in Darling Harbour, but it also underscores Canva’s serious push to attract enterprise customers. The company has acquired two promising startups — Leonardo.Ai and MagicBrief — and launched a suite of productivity tools to rival offerings from Google and Microsoft.
