The Melbourne-based HR tech company cuts 60 jobs globally as it focuses on its new AI products, marking its second round of layoffs since April 2023 amid broader sector challenges.

Employee engagement software platform Culture Amp has laid off approximately 6% of its workforce in a strategic realignment focused on AI-powered products, the company told Capital Brief.

The cuts, which affect about 60 employees globally across multiple departments were implemented earlier this month.

They come as Culture Amp redistributes resources toward what it describes as "key growth opportunities," particularly its new AI Coach product launched for personalised leadership development.

"These changes are primarily driven by our strategic priorities and adjustments to our operating plans, allowing us to accelerate the delivery of our product innovations like AI Coach," a Culture Amp spokesperson told Capital Brief.
