RBA minutes, monthly CPI to shed more light on future interest rate path

Economists will be looking for clues as to whether the Reserve Bank agrees with the growing perspective that the chances of any more rate cuts this cycle are fast dwindling.

Here’s what you need to know about the key economic data releases this week.

New numbers

The data: First release of monthly time series full CPI for April 2024 to June 2025, Australian Bureau of Statistics

When: Tuesday 18 November 2025

What to expect: This will not include the very latest data, so don’t anticipate any rapid shifting of forecasts or market reaction. Instead, it will be the first glimpse of the new-look more timely monthly CPI measure that will formally start being produced from 26 November onwards.
