The ASX live-pitched SafetyCulture's Luke Anear on an IPO. He said 'not yet'.
"They've been hitting us up for years," Anear said on the sidelines of the Tech Council's annual event after an ASX executive pitched the national bourse's wares as a home for tech companies.
After SafetyCulture founder Luke Anear's talk at the Tech Council of Australia's Summit on Monday with Blackbird's Rick Baker ended, he asked for questions from the crowd.
What he got instead was a pitch from the ASX's head of listings, James Posnett, who noted the $165 million round that Anear spent a year raising could have been achieved in "a day or two" on the bourse.
"Happens all the time," Anear told Capital Brief in an interview afterwards. "They've been hitting us up for years."
For the record, Anear's answer to Posnett was a non-committal quip: “Yeah, because the ASX has never been brutal on any company."
