Updoc founders on scaling, strategy and the future of telehealth
Updoc is expanding from consumer services into the enterprise market, leveraging a network of flexible doctors to deliver one-hour consultations across Australia.
Updoc co-founders and co-CEOs Dylan Coyne and Clifton Hodgkinson met while working in product and technology at Uber, before launching their telehealth startup in 2021.
They bootstrapped the business for three years before securing a $20 million investment from Bailador last year. Their platform has since delivered one-hour doctor consultations to hundreds of thousands of patients across Australia, operating with more than 100 doctors nationwide, all while remaining profitable.
Coyne and Hodgkinson spoke to Capital Brief about scaling their telehealth platform, launching enterprise solutions and navigating the competitive healthcare technology landscape.
