AI property management platform Asseti raises $2.5m
The news: Sydney startup Asseti has closed a $2.5 million seed funding round, led by early-stage venture capital firm Tidal, to grow its AI-powered property management platform.
The context: Founded in 2019, Asseti uses high-quality imagery and advanced machine learning to predict and prioritise upkeep needs for property managers. The platform monitors wear and tear, leaks and potential hazards in buildings, to help minimise downtime and maximise the lifespan of valuable assets.
Asseti, whose clients include property managers such as Mirvac, Colliers, CBH, Holcim and Ventia, said it will use the new funding to enhance its AI capabilities, improve asset insights, and expand to the US market.
What they said: Asseti founder and CEO Aonghus Stevens said: "We're excited to improve our advanced AI capabilities for real-time asset assessment and anticipate significant industry impact, particularly in the US with its vast and aging infrastructure."
Tidal principal investor and Asseti board member Kieran O'Neill said: "When we see AI-driven companies like Asseti leveraging their domain-specialised capabilities to transform their entire industry, we can't help but get excited. We believe their ability to monitor nearly any real-world asset places them in an expansive market undergoing significant digitisation, driving businesses towards a solution like Asseti".
