Ex-Canva exec Matt Rossi launches media buying startup Oodle
The news: Former Canva executive Matt Rossi has stepped down from his current position of head of growth at telehealth startup Eucalyptus to launch new media buying service Oodle.
The numbers: Rossi has spent the last seven years working in creative and media functions for Sydney-based startups Canva, Eucalyptus and Koala.
The context: His new venture will offer media strategy and buying for growth-oriented brands, aiming to help internal marketing teams scale into brand channels. Its services will include integrated media planning, buying for brand channels and working with in-house teams to develop their campaign tooling and measurement expertise.
Having launched earlier this year, Oodle has confirmed fellow startups Hnry, Spriggy and Koh as clients.
What they said: Rossi said: “Brand advertising shouldn’t be so opaque. It’s arguably the single biggest lever to grow brands, but it’s also the lever with the most barriers in front of it. From inconsistent pricing to unreliable measurement and bespoke creative.
