The news: Neuren Pharmaceuticals said it disclosed recent sales projections from its Rett syndrome treatment Daybue "promptly and without delay", in response to an ASX aware letter dated 15 January.

The context: Neuren said its US partner Acadia Pharmaceuticals, which has an exclusive worldwide licence to develop and commercialise Daybue, disclosed the sales projections in an announcement released in the US at 1am AEDT on 14 January.

Neuren said it received an email from Acadia 15 minutes prior to the announcement, with details of the projections.

However, the Melbourne-based company said "given the time during the night" the email was not read until the morning and executives first became aware of the information at around 8am AEDT.

An ASX announcement was consequently lodged at 10:20am and released at 10:26am AEDT, following board approval.

The announcement confirmed that global Daybue net sales are projected to reach USD700 million ($1 billion) in 2028, triggering a 6% jump in Neuren shares on 14 January.
