The news: ASX small cap Tetratherix has secured a $3.3 million non-dilutive grant from the Australian Government's Industry Growth Program to support its strategic expansion and development activities, including the planned US launch of its bone regeneration franchise in 2026.

The numbers: The total project cost is $7.38 million, with the government contributing $3.32 million ($2.1 million in FY26 and $1.2 million in FY27) and Tetratherix providing $4.06 million from its IPO funds.

The context: The Industry Growth Program targets innovative businesses with high growth potential that aim to transform and scale their operations while building Australian manufacturing capability.

Tetratherix, which develops clinical products using its patented biomaterial polymer platform technology, will use the funding to expand its production capacity and support key development activities.

The grant will specifically aid the company's US market entry with its bone regeneration products, positioning Australia as a developer of commercial medical technologies.

What they said: "This grant marks more than just financial support — it is recognition that Tetratherix now sits at the helm of a growing national ecosystem," the company stated in its announcement.
