Canva's Cameron Adams stakes his claim to be Australia's chief AI enthusiast
While wearing a jacket designed using AI, Canva's co-founder Cameron Adams rejected claims AI hampers creativity, and says he wants Australia to become Southeast Asia's AI computing hub.
When it comes to Australians that are fast becoming the faces of AI enthusiasm, Cameron Adams is up there.
The Canva co-founder and chief product officer has made no secret of his passion for AI, starting a podcast on the subject called "Prompted" and being actively involved in setting up AI events in Sydney.
The culmination of which was Canva's AI Vision event on Wednesday night at Sydney's Hordern Pavilion, where Adams was proudly wearing a bright green jacket designed using AI.
“This jacket was actually created by our production manager,” Adams told the sold out crowd. “He fed all of this event into AI and said, ‘What should Cam be wearing on the night?' He came up with this work together with a fashion designer, and I get to wear it tonight, so I feel very special.”
