Clive Dickens’ Meliora backs Fluency, Relevance AI in early investment push
The investments mark the first made by the advisory firm, which is currently in talks with prospective clients across Australia, the US, UK and Europe.
Meliora, the advisory firm founded by former media executive Clive Dickens, has made investments in artificial intelligence startups Fluency and Relevance AI, as part of a series of bets made to complement its consulting business.
While the investments are relatively small in terms of value, they are among the first made by the firm, which launched three weeks ago with a venture arm that has backed 17 companies with a combined total of around $1.5 million.
Meliora’s latest investments include Fluency — a documentation automation startup with clients such as AON and Specsavers, which the firm invested in via NextGen Ventures — and Relevance, a developer of AI agent systems that last month secured $38 million in Series B funding.
The firm has also recently backed Quickfind AI, a procurement platform; Blunge, a visual content business targeting creative teams and marketers Meliora also invested in via NextGen Ventures; and Alludium, another agentic AI company.
