That in itself isn’t surprising, given its last raise was back in 2022. The interesting detail is that the firm is in talks with new international institutional investors. Several sources, who requested anonymity, have told Capital Brief that a significant unnamed overseas investor is new to the fund and has been busy conducting due diligence on Blackbird.
If it all comes together, it could mark a new era for the firm. It would also be a reminder that, even as global markets remain jittery post-Covid, Blackbird’s reputation (and returns) continue to attract serious capital.
