There's just one significant departure. Thompson has embraced what Musk considers "morally wrong": a fully remote workforce.
The contrast is striking. While Musk demands Tesla employees spend at least 40 hours in the office and labels remote work "pretend jobs", Employment Hero's 1,300 staff members work entirely virtually. It's a policy Thompson championed after Covid-19 forced initial workplace changes, believing it would help attract global talent.
