You could not find a more loyal Canva enthusiast than Bill Tai. He led the company’s first seed round, helped connect Melanie Perkins and Cliff Obrecht with Cameron Adams, and has spent more than a decade championing Canva to investors around the world.
Along the way, he has become something of an adopted member of Australia’s startup community, spending much of his time in Western Australia while quietly helping build bridges between Silicon Valley and Perth.
That’s why I found it so interesting to hear him talk about risks for Canva — even if he was doing so in private.
As Capital Brief reported this morning, Tai’s comments came during a leaked investor session in which he was asked to make the bear case for the company.
